THE FUGEES: NO FU-GEE-LA

PRAS PRAS THE FUGEES

Rapper Pras Michel was recently interviewed by Billboard revealing that he has lost respect for his fellow Fugees band member Lauryn Hill.

The music industry's Refugee Camp aka the Fugees began recording together as a group since 1994, making it big with their second album The Score in 1995, featuring hit singles "Fu-Gee-La" and "Ready or Not" plus reinditions of "Killing Me Softly" and "No Woman, No Cry."

All three members: Wyclef Jean, Pras Michel and Lauryn Hill have had their own successful solo projects but by fans demand a reunion has been long waited for.

The Fugees reforming has been long speculated with new material released in 2005 "Take It Easy," not much else has happened. Lauryn's UK solo performances earlier this month at Hammersmith Apollo, fans and media claimed to be dire, followed by Pras's comments on her lack of musical efforts and co-operation towards the group is forcing the Fugees reunion into a dead end.

Pras told Billboard: "We went in the studio and recorded a couple records that were incredible. But, to put it nicely, it's dead."

"Me and Clef, we on the same page, but Lauryn is in her zone, and I'm fed up with that sh*t.

"Here she is, blessed with a gift, with the opportunity to rock and give and she's running on some bullsh*t?

"I'm a fan of Lauryn's but I can't respect that."
