UK release date 12.07.2007

Preceding the UK release of last year’s critically-acclaimed ‘Move With The Walls’ album, Chicago’s Verbal Kent hopes to grab the ears of Brit-hoppers with this no-nonsense slice of unapologetic underground hip-hop.

Kaz 1’s pounding beats and eerie keyboard work provide a more-than-adequate backdrop for the vivid, larger-than-life imagery and scathing punchlines from Kent and guests Lance Ambu and Ill Bill of Non-Phixion. But as dope as ‘Dead Serious’ is, newcomers unfamiliar with VK will also want to check the head-nodding ‘Remain Hungry’, as the bonus track offers a better insight into the Chi-town MC’s lyrical steelo without the distraction of other artists.

Further proof that some of the most skilled below-the-radar rappers reside in the Windy City.
