Dragonfly is the alter ego of Nathan Watson – a funky twenty-something from deepest, Stevenage.

‘I Like You’ is the lead single from the man’s upcoming LP, ‘Student Of Life’ and it’s a thoroughly pleasant piece of UK pop-soul. Nathan and his team have mixed in all kinds of tasty elements – funky beats, choppy Rhodes, ‘Superstition’-style riffing, a hint of Jamiroquai strings and a killer chorus. Nathan’s vocal is sharp and though it’s not soul as died-in-the-wool soul people understand it, the tune has a certain catchiness.

The David Brant remix is good too – though a touch heavier.
