The combination of location, clientele, and hot R&B, soul and hip hop tuneage have seen Throwback become a rapid success story in the North East.
The night is promoted by North East heavyweights Play, (of Sony BMG’s So Urban street team,) and Devon, (of the Def Jam street team,) who also get busy on the decks. Their fast-moving mix skills ensure things are kept at fever pitch throughout. And punters can expect some additional classy touches, too. They recently gave away an iPod in a dance-off competition, which is one surefire method of avoiding a thinning dancefloor.
